Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing methods and processes. This position is perfect for a hands-on engineer who excels at technical problem-solving, driving efficiency, and maintaining stringent quality standards in a high-mix, high-precision manufacturing setting.
This is a full-time, onsite role offering a chance to be a key technical contributor within a fast-paced CNC machine shop environment.

Responsibilities
Process Compliance & Quality: Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere strictly to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and required quality management systems.
Engineering Changes: Manage the implementation of Engineering Change Records (ECRs) and ensure timely updates to relevant documentation (drawings, specifications).
Root Cause Analysis: Lead investigations, implement corrective actions for nonconforming products, and coordinate product repair procedures.
Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with external suppliers, including managing Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs/pre-SCARs) and conducting site visits as needed.
Process Validation & Improvement: Conduct hands-on process validation, verify standard hour requirements, gather/analyze key characteristic data, and contribute to process refinement activities (e.g., PFMEA).
New Product Introduction (NPI): Actively support NPI projects by designing fixtures, evaluating tooling requirements, and preparing comprehensive manufacturing documentation.
CNC Programming: Develop high-quality CNC programs for complex multi-axis machines, including 2–4 axis turning and 3–5 axis milling, selecting appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds.
Documentation: Create detailed setup guides, cutter lists, and operation sheets to ensure repeatable and efficient production setups.
Safety & Compliance: Recommend and implement ergonomic and safety improvements for workstations and tooling; perform regular Workstation Audits to maintain a safe and compliant production floor.
Self-Management: Prioritize and execute tasks effectively to meet project timelines with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in manufacturing engineering or a related industrial setting (experience in aerospace is highly desirable).
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with CAD/CAM software, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and CNC programming for multi-axis operations.
Foundational Knowledge: Solid grasp of shop mathematics and conventional machining processes.
Software: Proficiency with Siemens NX and standard Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills: Demonstrated strength in communication, time management, complex problem-solving, and self-motivation.
Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., EDM, grinding, plasma coatings, heat treatment, laser drilling, or welding).
Prior experience with inspection techniques and quality systems within a regulated industry.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Experience with complex airflow components or aerospace part validation processes.
