Engineers and Professionals within the Manufacturing Engineering group are the key technical experts within the factory and supply chain. They work closely with production teams on the shop floor every day. They are responsible for maintaining and improving production equipment and processes. They also work with new product development teams and international footprint teams to introduce or transfer products and/or product changes in the global supply chain. Lean principles and tools are consistently used in daily work.

Responsibilities
Job Functions
• Support daily production equipment and processes to ensure safety, quality, delivery and cost KPIs are met or exceeded.
• Specify/design, justify and introduce equipment to meet requirements of new products and/or new processing methods
• Define comprehensive standards, description of methods and documentation (including also processes, workplace development, tools and methods). Create detailed work instructions for new processes and equipment
• Complete root cause problem solving using proven tools and methods
• Collaborate with new product development designers to determine optimal manufacturing and distribution processes to ensure new products and/or product changes meet all business KPIs
Qualifications
Qualifications / Job Requirements:
• University degree in Engineering
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing engineering, especially in mechatronics environments
• Experience creating work instructions, developing BOMs/Routings
• Knowledge of electronics potting/curing, surface preparation for adhesion/bonding, mechanical assembly, PLCs
• Experience with NX, SAP, TeamCenter tools is an asset
• Be self-directed and comfortable in an open and collaborative environment focused on results.
