In this role, you will play a key part in implementing marketing strategies, overseeing campaign execution, and managing deliverables from both internal and external partners. You will work closely with various teams, including Product, Database Marketing, and Digital, with a particular focus on collaborating with external marketing and media agencies. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can manage multiple projects concurrently, is not afraid to share their point of view, and has a strong sense of urgency.
This is a 12-month contract based on a hybrid schedule in downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities
• Deliver against a 1-2 year strategic marketing plan, ensuring all activities are aligned with business revenue targets and allocated budgets.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute marketing tactics, including offer creation, creative development, target audience selection, and channel strategy.
• Collaborate with various internal marketing teams and external agencies to ensure seamless campaign execution and effective business growth.
• Manage the creative development and internal approval process for direct marketing initiatives, including legal and compliance reviews.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on competitive insights, using data and analytics to deliver measurable and profitable marketing initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key business contacts, becoming a trusted and valued partner.
• Optimize the marketing budget to maximize channel performance and return on investment (ROI).
• Ensure ongoing communication and provide regular status updates on all campaign activities to key stakeholders.
• Proactively identify new and effective ways to deliver targeted direct marketing communications.
Qualifications
• 1+ years of experience in marketing project management, specifically managing creative and marketing communications processes across various mediums, including direct and interactive channels.
• 1+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of retail banking products. Credit card experience is a plus.
• Experience with email marketing and producing client-facing communications.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and ensure costs align with estimates.
• An undergraduate degree in Marketing or equivalent related experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• The ability to influence without authority and share your point of view respectfully.
• 3+ years of experience working directly with an agency on creative projects.
• Familiarity with copywriting.
• Technical understanding of how emails are created.
