Position: Material Handler
Location: Oakville, ON
Hourly : $ 22.72/hour
Shift: 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities
• Safe operation of a sit-down counterbalance forklift to move finished materials and raw inventory throughout the plant.
• Operate overhead cranes to safely lift, position, and transport heavy raw steel coils and bulk metal materials (training available).
• Load and unload materials on and off production machinery by hand, safely handling items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Perform physical general labor tasks, especially during initial onboarding, to support the overall manufacturing workflow.
• Inspect shipments and raw materials for quality, ensuring correct labeling, placement, and storage in warehouse bays.
• Adhere strictly to all corporate health and safety policies, wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work floor to foster a safe environment for all team members.
• Assist team members and machine operators with raw material prep and general material logistics as needed.
Qualifications
• Valid external or in-house Forklift License/Certification (Sit-Down Counterbalance).
• Background working in the steel or heavy metals manufacturing industry (an asset).
• Prior overhead crane experience is preferred (training will be provided on-site).
• Must possess CSA-approved safety footwear (steel-toe boots/shoes).
• Physical capability to handle heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and manual labor tasks daily.
