Responsibilities
Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport building materials throughout the yard and warehouse.
Use a chainsaw and other hand tools to cut lumber and materials to customer-specified sizes.
Bundle and secure materials (lumber, plywood, siding, etc.) for storage or shipment.
Ensure accurate picking and staging of materials based on work orders or customer invoices.
Maintain yard and warehouse organization and cleanliness.
Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and handling of sharp tools and heavy loads.
Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, drivers, and supervisors.
Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
Identify and report damaged materials or equipment malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
1+ year experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or yard environment.
Experience with chainsaw operation or willingness to be trained.
Basic knowledge of lumber and building materials preferred.
Ability to lift 50–75 lbs regularly and work in outdoor conditions.
OSHA forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Outdoor and warehouse environment exposed to various weather conditions.
Fast-paced, physically demanding role with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
Use of power tools and heavy machinery.
