Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and coach all materials and logistics personnel, ensuring employees comply with company policies and procedures.
• Promote high safety values within the team and oversee all aspects of employee management, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Direct and oversee all material flow activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, issuing, dispatching, and shipping.
• Ensure all incoming and outgoing products are handled in accordance with quality policies and procedures.
• Manage the cycle counting process to maintain inventory accuracy and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Develop and mentor the team in proactive thinking and root cause analysis to resolve material issues.
• Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead weekly meetings to review the performance of the organization.
Qualifications
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, order fulfillment, warehouse management, or logistics.
• Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or extensive relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with a focus on team building and employee development.
• A solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Proficiency with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g., Visual, IFS, SAP) is considered an asset.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal with all levels of an organization.
• Experience in the aerospace industry or a manufacturing environment is an asset.
