Responsibilities
Take a leadership role in promoting product quality, employee development and cost reduction initiatives.
Supervise the materials production area, scheduling, logistics / customer service and inventory control functions.
Implement and maintain effective controls for all areas of responsibility.
Provides long term production and inventory plans that insure optimal utilization of capacity and assets.
Establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships
Identify and implement cost reduction/ avoidance opportunities.
Manage the flow of raw packaging materials and supplies.
Qualifications
5 years experience in manufacturing environment.
2 years experience in supervisory role in non union and union background.
Demonstrated ability in solving problems related to manufacturing processes.
Excellent communication skills.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and must be an effective communicator.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
Six sigma certification.
