Responsibilities
Mechanical Assembly: Assemble metal components and sub-assemblies using hand tools and pneumatic tools
Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work orders to ensure precise alignment and fit.
Fastening & Joining: Install hardware such as rivets, bolts, screws, and inserts into sheet metal and structural frames.
Quality Inspection: Conduct "first-off" and final inspections using measuring tools (tape measures, calipers) to ensure products meet quality standards.
Drilling & Tapping: Perform basic shop tasks including drilling, tapping, and deburring as required by the build specs.
Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere to all Health & Safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal shop environment preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with power tools (impact drivers, drills, grinders) and manual hand tools.
Reading Prints: Ability to read and understand assembly drawings and basic measurement notations.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 40 lbs comfortably.
Requires frequent bending, reaching, and standing.
Work Ethic: A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
