The Designer is responsible for producing clear and accurate shop fabrication drawings to meet customer requirements, applicable codes and standards, and good manufacturing practices. Responsibilities
Prepare 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) piping / mechanical drawings including general arrangements, assemblies, and detailed part drawings.
Produce models and related fabrication data as required.
Prepare and maintain job drawing files, records, and drawing controls as outlined in project and engineering work instructions.
Establish and maintain in-house drafting best practices.
Able to check drawings to ensure correctness and completeness.
Interact with customers for engineering purposes, as required.
Always represents the Company in a professional manner.
Help create a positive working environment
Other duties as deemed necessary
Qualifications
0-3 years of Design and Drafting Experience with Autodesk Inventor.
Some familiarity with the design of pressure equipment and relevant industry codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4; CSA B51, S16, W59, API 5L; ASME B16.5, B16.47, and B16.9).
Some understanding of fabrication processes, welding, machining, etc.
Experience working in the oilsands is considered an asset.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong ability to establish priorities, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
Ability to deal with complexity in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Good organizational skills.
Effective communication skills.
