Mechanical Engineer - Product Design

Advantages
Contract role - 6 months with possible extension

Mentorship from Senior Engineers

Responsibilities
- Review existing data and product specifications that could influence the design.

- Perform market research and feasibility studies to identify technological gaps and innovative opportunities.

- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using CAD software.

- Perform simulations and analysis (e.g., stress analysis, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics) to validate design concepts.

- Optimize the design for performance, safety, and manufacturability.

- Fabricate a working prototype to demonstrate the functionality and design of the product.

- Test the prototype under simulated operating conditions to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.

- Provide comprehensive documentation of the design process, including calculations, material specifications, and testing results.

- Manage the project timeline and resources to ensure deliverables are met according to the project schedule.

- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
- Mechanical Engineering Bachelors Degree

- 3 to 5 years of Experience in Manufacturing Environment

- Product Design Experience

- Strong Knowledge of SolidWorks
