Responsibilities
◾Draft and design for mechanical systems within building projects, ensuring drawings are prepared for final engineering review.
◾Develop detailed mechanical designs, including the use of 3D modeling tools where applicable.
◾Collaborate closely with other engineering professionals and design disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
◾Contribute to engineering evaluations, system analysis, and design implementation for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical components.
◾Address construction-related inquiries, providing support alongside contractors and the internal design team.
◾Share technical knowledge and receive mentorship from senior engineers and project leads.
◾Conduct occasional site visits to support design implementation and project delivery.
Qualifications
◾7+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, particularly within the commercial and multi-residential sectors.
◾Completion of a post-secondary diploma in Mechanical Technology, Architectural Technology, or a similar technical discipline.
◾Demonstrated success in managing multiple design projects simultaneously, maintaining productivity and attention to deadlines.
◾High level of precision and attention to detail, with a commitment to producing consistently accurate and organized work.
◾Comfortable managing overlapping responsibilities without sacrificing quality or thoroughness.
◾Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
◾Experience using REVIT is considered an advantage.
