Responsibilities
Perform general administrative tasks and support special projects.
Cross-train for other administrative roles as needed.
Adhere to internal procedures and contribute to overall clinic efficiency.
Greet and assist clients in-person and by phone, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Schedule, confirm, and follow up on appointments to support continuity of care.
Maintain cleanliness of client areas and equipment in line with infection control standards.
Accurately manage confidential client records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and organizational guidelines.
Assist clients with navigating clinic areas and provide light physical assistance when necessary
Assist with clinical procedures/exams based on direction from Nurse Practitioner or other clinical staff
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism.
Comfortable working in high-pressure or urgent situations.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems; knowledge of Accuro is a plus.
Experience in social services or community-based care is an advantage.
Competent in using office technology such as computers, printers, photocopiers, and fax machines.
Completion of a certified training program in medical assistance, healthcare support, or medical office administration.
Physically capable of supporting clients and moving around the clinic as needed.
Previous experience in taking vital signs and assisting in basic clinical procedures.
Personal Health Information Act (PHIA) training completed.
Valid certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR (Level C).
Clear results on Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, along with Child and Adult Abuse Registry checks (including Prior Contact Check).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
