Responsibilities
- Accurately input personal, demographic, and medical information into patient charts and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and relay messages to doctors or nurses
- Securely store, archive, and maintain medical records in strict compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy legislation
- Provide nurses, physicians, and other healthcare staff with necessary clinical forms, intake packages, and diagnostic documentation
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient information, medical histories, and sensitive clinical records
- Retrieve patient medical records efficiently to support daily clinical appointments, diagnostic tests, and consultations
- Deliver general office support within the healthcare setting, including answering phone inquiries and managing incoming medical records requests
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Medical Office Assistant, Medical Records Clerk, or Medical Secretary in a clinic or hospital setting
- Clear English verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Strong time-management skills to work well in a team environment and juggle multiple personalities
- Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
