The Merchandise Space Planner supports Modular Relay Schedules, Format Development, or project-related planograms and category floor plan refreshes when required. Building strong collaborative relationships with merchandise senior directors and category managers, the position identifies space optimization opportunities that ensure stores receive the optimal assortment and space configuration for profitable sales and efficient operations. The role includes supporting project meetings to share process timelines, space excellence metrics, and addressing risks or obstacles in the creation and modification of planograms and category floor plans.

Responsibilities
• The position maintains an accurate planogram and category floor plan database, including item dimensions, fixture types, item locations, and capacities.
• Provides insights, standards, measures, and expectations throughout the end-to-end process to ensure successful execution.
• Timely corrections of floor plan and planogram drawings are completed to comply with standards. The role also involves quality control services, document management, and managing change requests.
• Communicate and produce outputs that reflect strong business acumen, manages multiple priorities and translates data insights into actionable strategies.
• Collaborate with stores to resolve inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Support strategic initiatives by analyzing and modifying category and modular space, liaising with core space planners or third-party vendors as necessary.
• Stay informed on market, category, brand, and consumer trends to provide valuable insights during planogram and floor plan processes.
• Actively engage in process improvement, the position identifies and implements enhancements to space excellence efficiency, quality, and cross-functional ways of working.
• Develop ereports, dashboards, and providing analytical insights to improve results, as well as sharing expert knowledge on space excellence tools and methods with fellow planners and business partners.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
• Minimum Education Required College Certificate or Diploma
• Minimum Years of Experience Required 1 - 2 years
• JDA Floor Plan and Space Planning experience and expertise with focus on Space Planning
• Strong analytical & business acumen
• Ability to effectively communicate, negotiate, and influence
• Strong team player
• Strong Project Management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt accordingly
Nice to have:
• JDA Certification (Considered an Asset)
