This is a high-impact, 16-month contract opportunity based in the Toronto area, requiring you to own the entire conversion lifecycle—from discovery and governance through testing, cutover, and post-migration support.

The Program Manager will own the end-to-end management and execution of the merchant portfolio migration, ensuring a successful transition within defined timelines and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Program Ownership: Manage all conversion phases: Discovery, Planning, Organizing, Build, Testing, Implementation/Cutover.
Project Scheduling: Review, own, and execute a provided 18-month project schedule, defining the critical path, key milestones, and dependencies.
Governance & Reporting: Establish comprehensive program governance and manage the cadence of reporting to the executive committee.
Workstream Coordination: Coordinate and manage multiple complex workstreams
Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience (Minimum 10+ Years Required)
Industry Expertise: Minimum 10+ years working in the merchant processing/acquiring industry.
Conversion Management: Proven, extensive experience managing large-scale portfolio conversions covering business, technical, and operational components.
Acquiring Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of Acquirer Processing Systems and MIDs hierarchy.
Payment Flows: Strong command of Card Brand experience and the technical understanding of Settlement funding flows.
Merchant Operations: Expertise in key merchant operational areas, including: New Account Boarding and underwriting, Chargebacks and disputes, Reconciliation, Customer Service, Help Desk, Data Mapping, and Testing.
Tools & Communication: Proficiency with MS Office Tools and strong stakeholder communication and governance skills.
