Responsibilities
- Perform skilled welding using both GMAW and GTAW processes on various materials, including carbon, stainless, and mild steel.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to fit and fabricate parts.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new fixture concepts and ensure all prefabrication is completed accurately.
- Execute grinding and other duties as required to complete weldments and fabricated parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety protocols and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
- Strive for maximum production efficiency while upholding a strong commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Welder Fitter in a custom fabrication environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and working from detailed blueprints.
- Strong fitting and prepping skills to prepare materials to meet blueprint specifications.
- Extensive experience with MIG welding (hard wire, flux core) is essential.
- Experience with GTAW welding is considered a significant asset for this role.
- A valid Red Seal certification, as well as CWB/AWS/TSSA tickets, are considered valuable assets.
