Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance on all production machinery and facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures on a wide range of industrial equipment, including motors, pumps, valves, and controls.
Dismantle and reassemble complex machinery and equipment to perform inspections, repairs, and component replacements in a safe and efficient manner.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics to effectively execute maintenance and repair tasks.
Fabricate parts as needed for repairs and machinery overhauls using machine tools such as grinders, lathes, drill presses, and saws.
Perform precision fitting, aligning, and balancing of equipment to meet operational specifications.
Execute welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding equipment for fabrication and repair purposes.
Collaborate with the production team and other Skilled Trades professionals to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance equipment reliability.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory using the company’s maintenance management system.
Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
Qualifications
Must hold a valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A Red Seal license.
Proven experience working as a Millwright in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of applied mathematics, mechanical principles, and basic electrical systems.
Hands-on experience with the maintenance of conveyors, pumps, granulators, and associated industrial machinery.
Ability to work a rotating continental shift schedule, including both day and night shifts (5:00 AM - 5:30 PM and 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM).
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in various industrial conditions.
Must own a set of personal tools required for the Millwright trade.
A strong safety-first mindset and a track record of adhering to all safety regulations.
