This role is critical to maintaining production uptime, food safety compliance, and equipment performance in a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be hands-on, mechanically strong, safety-focused, and comfortable working across rotating shifts to support continuous operations.
Location - Etobicoke, ON
Shift - Afternoons 2pm-10:30pm
Pay Rate - $46.50/hr

Responsibilities
Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on processing and high-speed packaging equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns to minimize downtime and support production targets
Dismantle, repair, align, install, and test mechanical systems and components
Inspect equipment to identify wear, failure points, and operational irregularities
Accurately document completed work orders, downtime, materials used, and equipment status
Follow and enforce GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental standards
Support plant utilities and ancillary equipment as required (compressors, chillers, boilers, HVAC – asset)
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize equipment reliability and performance
Participate in continuous improvement, reliability, and maintenance optimization initiatives
Perform additional trade-related duties within scope of skill and certification
Qualifications
Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A)
Class B Refrigeration License considered a strong asset
3–5+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, preferably food, beverage, dairy, or packaging
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skillset
Experience working with automated processing and high-speed packaging equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
Working knowledge of CMMS / maintenance software (SAP considered an asset)
