Responsibilities
Hands-On Examination: Independently perform NDE techniques, primarily Magnetic Particle Testing (MT/MPI) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT/LPI), to ensure structural integrity.
Procedure Compliance: Select and set up appropriate equipment and testing procedures based on material type and specific criteria.
Documentation Management: Meticulously prepare and audit all required inspection records, reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and compliance documentation.
Technical Reporting: Translate complex technical findings into clear, concise, and actionable reports for engineers and project managers.
Procedure Drafting: Act as a technical writer, drafting new, complex NDE procedures and work instructions to meet unique project specifications and industry codes.
Document Control: Perform a rigorous technical review and editing of existing NDE documents to guarantee they are current and compliant.
Level III Preparation: Ensure all written materials and inspection practices are perfectly prepared for final Level III review and sign-off, guaranteeing quality assurance.
Site Guidance: Maintain strict adherence to all contract specifications, industry codes, and safety protocols, acting as the resident subject matter expert on NDE applications.
