Network Architecture & Strategy
Design and develop enterprise network architectures supporting two data centres, hybrid cloud environments, and remote connectivity.
Lead network modernization initiatives including software-defined networking (SDN), segmentation, automation, and zero-trust architecture principles.
Develop long-term network roadmaps aligned with business, security, and operational objectives.
Evaluate emerging technologies and provide recommendations for future-state network capabilities.
Lead network health assessments, including performance analysis, configuration review, and identification of systemic issues
Define target-state branch architecture patterns, including local internet egress and secure traffic routing models
Data Centre Modernization
Architect highly available and redundant network solutions across dual data centre environments.
Design resilient Layer 2 and Layer 3 topologies, including routing, switching, WAN, and data centre interconnect solutions.
Support modernization of legacy infrastructure to modern enterprise networking platforms.
Lead network migration planning, failover design, and disaster recovery connectivity strategies.
Security & Compliance
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement secure network architectures and segmentation strategies.
Design and maintain secure remote access, firewall integration, NAC, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust networking solutions.
Ensure network designs align with organizational security standards, compliance requirements, and best practices.
Participate in risk assessments, vulnerability remediation planning, and incident response activities.
Design and integrate centralized logging and analytics solutions e.g. FortiAnalyzer into the network security
Cloud & Infrastructure Integration
Support hybrid cloud networking initiatives across platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Design secure connectivity between on-premises data centres and cloud services.
Collaborate with infrastructure and systems teams to support virtualization, storage, backup, and application connectivity requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to network engineers and operational teams.
Act as a senior technical advisor for enterprise infrastructure projects and modernization initiatives.
Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and project teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Create and maintain architectural documentation, standards, diagrams, and operational procedures.
Provide hands-on support during implementation phases, accelerating delivery and assisting with complex troubleshooting or operational gaps.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years experience in enterprise networking
Industry certifications (preferred/optional): CCNP / CCIE
Azure Network Engineer Associate
AWS Advanced Networking
CISSP or equivalent security certification
Senior-level network architecture experience
Designing and supporting multi-data centre environments
Leading infrastructure modernization or transformation initiatives
Experience with SD-WAN, network automation, and IaC (preferred)
