In this role, you will head a dedicated site-deployment team consisting of yourself and two Field Technicians. You will be responsible for translating high-level technical designs into active reality, managing configurations, overseeing physical deployment, and executing end-to-end site commissioning. This role reports directly to the Project/Program Manager and balances field leadership with advanced technical execution.
Duration: 6 months
Hours: 40 hours per week (Must be available for off-hours and weekend cuts as project cutovers require)
Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in-office/on-site in Winnipeg, MB, with regular travel across the province required)

Responsibilities
Field Team Leadership: Lead the day-to-day technical activities of your assigned deployment team, providing quality oversight, safety coordination, and technical guidance to Field Technicians.
Configuration & Deployment: Develop, own, and sign off on technical network configurations covering wired switching, wireless access points (Cisco and Aruba), and core network stacks in accordance with approved architectural designs.
Network Management Administration: Utilize Aruba Central and Cisco management suites for continuous configuration enforcement, post-deployment monitoring, and active site troubleshooting.
Network Access Control (NAC): Administer and support identity-based access controls utilizing Cisco ISE (or equivalent AAA solutions), handling policy configuration and validation testing.
Technical Documentation: Produce and maintain high-fidelity network topology diagrams, configuration baselines, as-built documentation, and formal site commissioning reports.
Stakeholder Reporting: Coordinate directly with the Program Manager, client leaders, and external deployment stakeholders to communicate site statuses, blockers, and milestone achievements.
Escalation & Support: Provide tier-3 escalation support to your field team during and immediately following intense site-commissioning windows.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on enterprise networking experience, demonstrating equal comfort across both wired and wireless infrastructure deployments.
Required Certifications: Must hold a CCNP (Cisco) or equivalent HPE/Aruba professional credential (e.g., ACCP / ACMP).
Platform Expertise: Verified, hands-on experience deploying and managing Aruba wireless platforms through Aruba Central, alongside traditional Cisco switching environments.
Security & Identity: Solid working knowledge of Cisco ISE or alternative enterprise NAC solutions, including policy troubleshooting and configuration.
Deployment Experience: Proven ability to navigate both greenfield setups and complex brownfield (legacy migration) network cutovers.
Local Logistics: Based in Winnipeg, MB, with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle access for provincial site travel.
Clearance: Must possess or be willing to immediately undergo a provincial police background check prior to onboarding.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
Security-focused industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
Prior network deployment experience within a healthcare, crown corporation, or government environment.
Familiarity with industry-standard wireless site survey validation software (such as Ekahau).
