We are seeking a versatile Office Assistant for a contract-to-hire position in the Brantford area. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position and we are looking for someone who is organized, capable, and has a strong sense of initiative.
This role is a unique opportunity to work within a supportive team. You will be provided with a laptop and will have access to potential growth opportunities into another role, such as scheduling. The ideal candidate has experience working in a small office, excellent computer skills, and a natural ability to take on multiple duties. You will play a crucial role in supporting the business and the two to three people in the office.

Responsibilities
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP) data entry into internal ERP system (training provided)
- Manage document flow and process purchase orders.
- Assist with shipping and receiving, and cross-train on bills of lading.
- Update inventory data and keep accurate and organized filing systems.
- Use your initiative to keep busy during downtime and find what needs to be done.

- Proven experience working in a small office environment and taking on multiple duties.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel.
- The ideal candidate should be independent and not overly social.
- A strong sense of accountability and the ability to work in a moderate-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to stay busy and find what needs to be done.
