Responsibilities
- Coverage support of key financial data preparation, including processing payroll, managing remittances, and ensuring accurate WSIB reporting.
- Independently analyze business performance by generating and interpreting essential monthly management reports for senior review.
- Negotiate and manage vendors and customers as needed
- Act as the primary interface to skillfully manage and temper challenging customer relationships to secure positive outcomes.
- Take ownership of essential support tasks for the Controller, providing reliable coverage for core accounting and operational processes when necessary.
- Apply critical thinking to resolve day-to-day workflow challenges, proactively identifying and implementing process improvements across the Industrial Management environment.
- Manage core transactional flows, including verification and adjustment of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable listings.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional history showcasing a strong foundation in general accounting principles and practices.
- Proven capacity to handle complex payroll administration tasks, including adherence to current statutory remittance requirements.
- Must exhibit self-reliance and sound judgment, possessing the capability to think independently and make well-reasoned operational decisions.
- Familiarity with generating and interpreting financial data from a Microsoft-based accounting software platform is essential.
- Experience handling stakeholder communications, such as briefing on AR Insurance matters or vendor negotiation progress, is highly valued.
- Possession of a professional designation or relevant diploma in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred. This Operations Manager role is challenging.
- You have strong negotiation skills and you pay attention to the larger and minor details.
