Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operational activities and monitor key resource levels.
- Evaluate and plan for fluctuating operational demands.
- Communicate effectively with leadership on operational status and priorities.
- Strong experience leading a team to meet daily, weekly and monthly KPIs.
- Foster a safe and compliant work environment.
- Drive performance against established operational targets and metrics.
- Participate in talent acquisition and team development efforts.
- Guide and support team leaders to achieve operational excellence.
- Report on key performance indicators and manage operational budgets.
- Identify and support the implementation of operational improvements.
- Ensure efficient flow of goods and other assigned tasks.
Qualifications
- You have at least 5 years management experience in a large volume distribution center
- You have Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, or Administration Bachelors degree
- You have proven experience leading a very busy team including direct and indirect reports.
- Coaching, developing, disciplinary discussions, cross training and building report with employees are necessary skills you currently possess
- You have strong communication skills in both verbal and written with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build report with employees building a strong work culture
- Strong organization, decision making, delegating and project management skills are key to success
- You have strong computer skills: Experience with MS Office and WMS Software
- If you have experience with a voice pick technology, that is nice to have
