Training: Comprehensive 2-3 week training period, with the first week being fully onsite.
Responsibilities
The Funding Officer will be responsible for the timely and accurate execution of pre-funding and funding tasks for various credit products.
Funding Management: Execute the funding of mortgages and Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs).
Documentation Review: Thoroughly review all required documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues within the funding documentation in a timely manner.
SLA Adherence: Maintain high levels of speed and accuracy to meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ownership & Accountability: Take full ownership of tasks from start to finish, demonstrating strong accountability for results.
Task Prioritization: Effectively prioritize a high volume of tasks to manage workflow within set deadlines.
Communication: Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and resolve issues as necessary.
Work Schedule: The regular working week will be Mon-Fri (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM) with a Saturday rotation (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM). Overtime may be required but not on a regular basis
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
Banking/Finance Background: Previous professional experience in Banking, Accounting, or Bookkeeping.
Attention to Detail: Proven strong attention to detail for accurate document review and discrepancy resolution.
Technical Proficiency: Competency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
SLA Focus: Demonstrated ability to work within and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and strict deadlines.
Communication: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Work Ethic: Proven track record of taking initiative and possessing a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)
Prior banking experience is highly preferred.
Familiarity with the real estate or mortgage industry.
Post-secondary education is required.
3 to 5 years of overall professional experience in a relevant field.
