Responsibilities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular in-person visits and event participation
• Identify and secure new customer accounts within the assigned territory
• Act as the key point of contact for customer issues, coordinating with internal departments to ensure resolution
• Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting
• Plan routes and sales activities strategically to maximize productivity
• Support inside sales and customer service functions as needed
• Monitor customer creditworthiness and escalate any issues to management
• Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
• Stay informed about product offerings and market trends
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or customer service, ideally within a related industrial sector
• Background in waterworks, fire protection, or mechanical distribution is highly preferred
• Diploma or degree in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings are considered assets
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based applications
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Willingness to travel regularly within the region, including occasional overnight travel
