Responsibilities
• Full-Cycle Accounting: Manage semi-monthly AP/AR workflows, including invoicing, cheque issuance, and proactive collection of outstanding balances.
• Financial Reporting & Compliance: Maintain the general ledger, perform fund reconciliations, and prepare monthly financial statements, tax remittances (GST/PST), and year-end audit files.
• Specialized Database Administration: Oversee the Mortgage, Land, and LIFE Certificate databases, ensuring accurate interest calculations, investor redemptions, and quarterly reporting.
• Operational Support: Assist with annual budgeting, process inter-company transactions, and serve as the primary point of contact for financial inquiries from the community.
Qualifications
• Proficiency in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial analysis.
• Previous experience with financial software (Oracle NetSuite) and spreadsheets.
• Strong knowledge of current accounting principles and regulations.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical business practices.
• Strong collaborative skills for a team-oriented environment.
