You will be responsible for the full-cycle AR process—from invoicing and data entry to monitoring aging reports and supporting the broader finance department.
Advantages
This is a remote-first position allowing for a great work-life balance. However, the successful candidate should be available to commute to the office from time to time for team meetings or specific administrative tasks.
Responsibilities
- Invoicing & Billing: Generate and send monthly invoices and statements to customers; ensure all invoices are accurately uploaded into the accounting system.
- Collections Management: Proactively follow up on overdue accounts, send payment reminders, and support collection efforts to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous customer records, AR ledgers, and all supporting documentation.
- Reporting: Regularly review and assist in monitoring the Aged Accounts Receivable report to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Team Support: Provide general administrative assistance to the Finance team as required.
Qualifications
- Education: A college diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Experience: Prior experience in billing or Accounts Receivable is preferred. Experience within a nonprofit or registered charity environment is a significant asset.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational prowess. You are a self-starter who can work independently but knows how to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when navigating sensitive payment discussions.
