Responsibilities
• Execute full-cycle finance & accounting processes up to trial balance for multiple accounting firm clients.
• Perform regular bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations to ensure high data integrity.
• Prepare and file HST returns accurately and on schedule in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain clear, professional, and friendly correspondence with client contacts via email, phone, and video calls.
• Conduct periodic local travel to pick up physical financial files from non-digital clients within the Burlington and Oakville area.
• Manage records efficiently using cloud-based and desktop accounting platforms.
Qualifications
• 3 to 5 years of solid, hands-on bookkeeping experience within a corporate or public accounting setting.
• Must be able to commute to Burlington or Oakville area to facilitate periodic file drop-ins and client visits.
• Complete mastery of full-set bookkeeping practices up to trial balance.
• Must successfully pass a clear criminal background check (required due to direct CRA account access).
• Experience with client payroll management is considered a strong asset.
