Responsibilities
Complete semi-monthly (salaried) and bi-weekly (hourly) Canadian payrolls.
Verify and authorize monthly payrolls in the US and Europe (administered by ADP).
Complete Payroll Journal Entries.
Provide information to external auditors.
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and Employer Health Tax filings, remittances and reconciliations.
Administration of benefit and pension plans in Canada, US and Europe.
Recommend and implement HR technology solutions to streamline processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Attendance and vacation tracking.
Communication of benefit and pension plans.
Reconciling Pension remittances and Benefit billings and authorizing payments.
Complete year end payroll processing.
Administration of annual bonus processing and salary increases.
Create and maintain Payroll, Benefit and Pension related SOP’s.
Assist HR Manager with other duties as required.
Qualifications
Payroll/Benefit certification.
Experience with Payworks payroll or similar.
Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Ability to operate a computer with Microsoft Office and other proprietary/data entry software.
Adherence to a strict code of ethical conduct and confidentiality.
In-depth understanding of the Employment Standards Act. (ESA).
