Responsibilities
US Payroll Support (~75%): Assist in processing multi-state US payroll across Washington, Arizona, and Texas, ensuring compliance with local state regulations and tax laws.
Benefits Administration (~25%): Support day-to-day administration of employee health and wellness plans, enrolment updates, deductions, and reconciliations.
Data Verification & Auditing: Check payroll data for discrepancies, perform regular volume checks, and maintain meticulous employee records.
Year-End Assistance: Support team members during annual reporting, tax document generation, and succession planning activities.
Employee Inquiries: Serve as a responsive point of contact for employee questions regarding timekeeping, benefits enrollment, and pay statements.
Qualifications
Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on payroll experience, ideally handling processing volumes of 300 to 500+ headcount.
Education: Post-secondary coursework in Payroll, Accounting, or Human Resources; active pursuit of a PCP designation is a plus.
Technical Skills: Strong MS Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables) and experience using major payroll platforms (Dayforce, ADP, or similar).
US Payroll Exposure: Previous experience with US multi-state payroll is an asset, but a strong aptitude to learn US payroll regulations under direct mentorship is welcomed.
Key Attributes: High attention to detail, proactive communication, and a genuine eagerness to grow within a structured corporate team.
