Responsibilities
Customer Guidance: Support small businesses and accounting partners across North America with complex payroll scenarios, deductions, and system compliance questions.
Accuracy & Compliance: Review and verify payroll data, tax filings, year-end forms (like T4s/W-2s), and Records of Employment (ROEs) to guarantee zero-error processing.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Customer Operations, Product, and Risk teams to investigate platform anomalies and improve the overall user experience.
Empathetic Support: Turn confusing compliance guidelines into clear, understandable advice for small business owners who don't have an HR background.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to optimize our internal processes, helping us keep the software the "friendliest" on the market.
Qualifications
Payroll Expertise: 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience handling payroll processing, ideally within a multi-provincial (Canada) or multi-state (US) environment.
Certification Preference: Holding or actively working toward a payroll designation (such as PCP/PLP in Canada or FPC/CPP in the US) is highly valued.
Remote Independence: High comfort level working autonomously in a remote environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
