Responsibilities
Administer employee pension and group benefits programs, including enrollments, terminations, changes, and leaves of absence.
Liaise with benefit carriers, pension plan providers, and third-party administrators to ensure accurate processing and timely resolution of issues.
Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits and pension plans, providing clear and accurate information.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment and benefits legislation
Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits data in HRIS and payroll systems.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of employee communication materials regarding benefits and pension changes.
Support annual benefits renewal processes and pension reporting requirements.
Provide support for audits, reconciliations, and year-end reporting.
Collaborate with HR, payroll, and finance teams to ensure seamless administration and data integrity.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in pension and benefits administration, preferably within a mid to large-sized organization.
Strong knowledge of group benefits plans, pension legislation, and regulatory compliance in Manitoba.
Proficiency in HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
CEBS or related certification considered an asset.
