Responsibilities
Pharmacist – Sterile Compounding Pharmacy (IV Therapy) – Full-Time, Permanent - Hamilton - Healthcare
Triage hospital prescriptions and determine IV drug/solution requirements
Coordinate workflow and assign tasks to technicians and assistants
Prepare and review compounding worksheets and documentation
Perform final verification before and after compounding (based on shift)
Conduct final technical release and cleanroom entry protocols
Conduct TPN and syringe checks based on labelling, components, and protocols
Collaborate with team to ensure high-quality therapeutic compounding outcomes
Communicate with physicians, nurses, and caregivers regarding prescriptions and patient history
Work in a rotating shift structure:
Opening shift: 8 AM – 4 PM
Late morning shift: 10 AM – 6 PM
Evening shift: 1:30 PM – 9 PM
Participate in weekend rotation (approx. every 5–6 weeks) with solo pharmacist coverage (Saturday & Sunday, 8 AM – 9 PM). Receive 3 weekdays off in exchange.
Participate in on-call rotation via company-provided phone/laptop. Flat fee paid for standby, plus call compensation.
Engage in both desk-based and cleanroom staging work (typically 1–3 hours/day in staging depending on shift).
Adhere to cleanroom dress code (no makeup, scents, jewelry, or fresh tattoos)
