Advantages
Pharmacy Assistant / Caseworker - 6-month contract - Markham, ON (Near highways 404 & 7)
- The hourly wage ranges from $22 to $24, depending on your level of Kroll, billing, adjudication and (ideally) specialty medication experience
- This is a 6-month contract with full-time hours
- The pharmacy is clean, ergonomic, technologically advanced, and beautifully designed.
- The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with 8-hour shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM (all shifts, 8-5, 9-6, 10-7 with one hour unpaid lunch break) must be worked as part of a rotation - no weekends, ensuring a better work-life balance.

Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistant / Caseworker - 6-month contract - Markham, ON (Near highways 404 & 7)
- Manage multiple tasks related to patient care and billing, with a focus on resolving unfilled prescriptions, primarily in ophthalmology, using Kroll.
- Dispensing and managing patient medication.
- Conducting thorough patient history reviews to ensure all required info is present in patient file and communicating with Patient Support Programs or relevant programs to confirm necessary details.
- Demonstrate strong English communication skills, particularly when interacting with patients over the phone and in written communication.
- Reach out to patients to address outstanding account receivables, explaining the purpose of collections calls clearly and effectively.
- Perform data entry tasks, including working with Kroll and handling manual submissions for back billing claims.
- Catch up on workflow items, ensuring timely follow-up with patients and resolving any outstanding billing issues.
Qualifications

- Experience with ODB billing and adjudication is mandatory.
- Experience using Kroll in a steady-to-fast paced pharmacy setting is mandatory.

- This role involves on-site work at all times (not remote, not hybrid)
