We are currently seeking a Full-Time Permanent Pharmacy Assistant to support one of our valued client pharmacies. Responsibilities
Pharmacy Assistant - Dartmouth, NS - Healthcare
Support the pharmacist and/or registered pharmacy technician in prescription preparation
Assist patients in event of in-person prescription pick-up
Accurately enter, scan, and process prescriptions using Kroll software
Maintain precise records and update pharmacy files
Ensure customers receive the correct medications
Help prioritize daily tasks to keep operations running smoothly
Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries from both internal and external contacts
Screen calls for pharmacists as needed
Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing medications
Handle billing, claims processing, and related administrative documents
Review invoices and ensure proper documentation
Pack and ship prescription orders following established procedures
Maintain pharmacy documentation and assist in general upkeep
Report adverse events in line with regulations and internal standards
Perform other administrative or operational tasks as assigned
Be available for occasional standby/on-call duties, if required (more details will be shared with qualified, interested talent)
Qualifications

Previous pharmacy assistant experience is required
Familiarity with Kroll pharmacy software an asset
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Highly organized, with an ability to multitask without sacrificing accuracy

Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team
Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
