We are recruiting a Pharmacy Manager to lead a highly respected, full-service community pharmacy that has been proudly serving Viking and the surrounding region for years. We’re looking for a licensed pharmacist with strong leadership skills and a passion for clinical service to step into a dynamic Pharmacy Manager role. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a modern, patient-centered environment.
The pharmacy is open Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and the Pharmacy Manager may work the odd Saturday if needed but the shift is short - just 10 AM to 3 PM. Your evenings are free! It is co-located with a medical clinic and offers a comprehensive range of services, including:
Prescription dispensing (moderate paced pharmacy in terms of script count - strong staffing support in the pharmacy; no methadone)
Injections and vaccinations
Online prescription refills
Minor ailments prescribing
Senior care and contracted long-term care support
Home health products and support
With a dedicated front store manager on staff, the Pharmacy Manager and licensed pharmacists and support staff are empowered to focus on what matters most — patient care and service excellence.
This is a permanent, employee-status position reporting directly to our client from Day 1.

Leadership & People:
Lead a team of pharmacists, assistants, and support staff in a positive, team-focused environment
Foster a high-performing, supportive, and patient-centered culture
Manage scheduling, performance, and ongoing development of the pharmacy team
Clinical Services & Process Excellence:
Ensure consistent, high-quality patient care aligned with best practices
Deliver injections, vaccinations, and other clinical services
Optimize workflow and ensure safe, effective medication dispensing practices
Compliance & Operations:
Maintain full compliance with Alberta College of Pharmacy standards
Ensure all operations meet regulatory, quality, and company standards
Collaborate with adjacent medical professionals and health partners
Qualifications

Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
Injection certified as per Alberta requirements
Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) is strongly preferred, but not required
Previous pharmacy management experience is ideal, but strong candidates ready to step into leadership are encouraged to apply
