Responsibilities
Pharmacy Manager - Specialty Pharmacy - Calgary - Healthcare
Lead and coordinate day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory and internal compliance
Supervise a team of pharmacists and a cleanroom supervisor who oversees a group of technicians
Manage scheduling, training, and performance reviews for direct reports
Serve as escalation point for pharmacy service issues and collaborate with quality and operations leaders
Learn sterile compounding practices to provide informed oversight (no hands-on compounding required)
Monitor service KPIs and operational workflows to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely dispensing
Participate in internal initiatives, audits, and continuous improvement projects
Maintain documentation, software system accuracy, and report reviews as needed
Qualifications
Pharmacy Manager - Specialty Pharmacy - Calgary - Healthcare
Pharmacy degree and licensure in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
3+ years of pharmacy practice experience; pharmacy management or assistant manager experience preferred
Strong people leadership skills with a collaborative, flexible approach
Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
Willingness to complete sterile compounding training (training provided)
Experience in sterile compounding is an asset, not a requirement
