This position contributes directly to the safe and reliable operation of essential infrastructure by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and system modifications on industrial piping systems throughout the plant.

The ideal candidate is a Journeyperson Pipefitter with experience working in heavy industrial environments, such as utilities, wastewater treatment facilities, manufacturing plants, or large infrastructure sites. Shifts: 7:00AM - 4:00PM
Wage: $47.12/hour + 6.25% deferred compensation on all hours worked (redeemable as pay or additional time off)
Grade 12 plus Journeyperson Pipefitter Trade Qualification Certificate (BC or Interprovincial) required to be considered for this role

Responsibilities
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial piping systems across treatment plant operations
• Repair, modify, and install piping systems used for various plant processes including chemical and wastewater systems
• Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping using materials such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, PVC, and related piping components
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues within existing piping systems and recommend appropriate repair solutions
• Support system upgrades, modifications, and installation of new piping infrastructure throughout the facility
• Conduct pressure testing and inspections to ensure system integrity and proper installation
• Interpret technical drawings, piping schematics, and blueprints to complete work accurately
• Assist in coordinating and directing work activities of helpers or apprentices when required
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety procedures, site regulations, and industry best practices
• Work closely with operations teams and other trades to support plant maintenance and reliability
Qualifications
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Journeyperson Pipefitter Trade Qualification Certificate (BC or Interprovincial)
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and piping blueprints
• Experience working in industrial environments such as wastewater facilities, utilities, or heavy infrastructure is considered a strong asset
• Ability to perform work in confined, industrial environments including areas exposed to wastewater processes
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on pipefitting skills
• Ability to plan work tasks, troubleshoot systems, and execute repairs independently
• You are able to provide and maintain personal hand tools required for the trade
• Valid BC Driver’s License
• Ability to obtain or maintain required site health clearances for watershed entry
• Ability to provide references and pass required background checks
• You are located in, and legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia
