Training Provided: You'll receive comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure your success.
Shift Flexibility: Work schedules involve 8 or 12-hour shifts with the flexibility to work required overtime.
Physical Demand: Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Conditions: Expect indoor industrial conditions, including high temperatures during summer months.
Exposure to a variety of facility chemicals is expected; WHMIS training is provided.
Responsibilities
As a critical part of the maintenance team, you will:
Execute the plant's maintenance plan, focusing on regular inspections, precise equipment lubrication, and calibration to prevent major breakdowns.
Strictly adhere to all PPE requirements, which include wearing steel-toed safety boots, coveralls, full-face respirator, SCBA, and safety glasses/goggles.
Quickly troubleshoot equipment issues, make immediate adjustments, and coordinate resources for larger fixes.
Perform hands-on work, including tearing down and rebuilding parts and equipment in the shop.
Actively participate in all Safe Work Practices, adhere to safety policies, attend weekly toolbox talks, and ensure your work area is clean and organized.
Work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor, contractors, and other team members to successfully complete repair work and new equipment installations.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
A Class 5 driver's license.
A strong work ethic and commitment to being highly punctual for shift changes.
The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
The capability to work well under pressure.
Previous building or industrial maintenance experience is an asset, but we provide on-the-job training!
Forklift experience is also an asset.
