In this role, you will not just be managing a facility; you will be the architect of operational efficiency, driving a transition to digital systems and ensuring that production targets are met with precision and safety.
You will oversee a workforce of over 200 employees across two key locations: a primary hub in Winnipeg and a specialized facility in West St. Paul. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining our client’s reputation for dependability and quality in the agricultural, construction, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement robust operational policies to optimize plant performance and eliminate production bottlenecks.
• Oversee daily production planning and execution to ensure "Planned vs. Actual" costs align with original quotes and profitability targets.
• Lead the digital transformation of the facility by transitioning from manual/paper-based tracking to a modern ERP system (Infor, SAP, or Job Boss).
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for labor, material usage, and machine downtime.
• Provide strategic oversight for multi-site resource management, balancing manpower and equipment between the Winnipeg and West St. Paul locations.
• Ensure 100% compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and provincial safety regulations to maintain a zero-incident culture.
• Manage and mentor a layer of Supervisors to foster a positive, productive, and inclusive work environment for a diverse hourly workforce.
• Implement strict cost-control measures and waste-reduction initiatives to protect operational margins and drive continuous improvement.
• Review financial statements and activity reports to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior manufacturing leadership roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, or Business an asset(or an equivalent mix of education and experience).
• Proven ability to lead through layers of management, developing supervisors into effective leaders for a large workforce.
• Strong background in steel fabrication, custom machining, or agricultural component manufacturing.
• Demonstrated experience leading digital system implementations or working extensively with ERP platforms (e.g., Infor, SAP, Job Boss).
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex production math and digital manufacturing data.
• Strong "systems-first" approach to problem-solving and optimizing multi-site production workflows.
• Deep understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards and industrial safety compliance.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing principles and cost-control methodologies to protect profit margins.
• Valid driver’s license and the mobility to travel regularly between the Winnipeg and West St. Paul locations.
