Responsibilities
You will have full ownership of the facility's operational and financial results, including production costs, labour utilization, and capital planning. This is a chance to lead a dedicated, cross-functional team and make a tangible impact within a company known for its commitment to quality and sustainable practices.
A Snapshot of Your Role:
Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Health & Safety.
Champion a culture of Continuous Improvement, using Six Sigma, Lean, or other methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
Develop, recommend, and execute the facility's annual operating and capital budgets, with full accountability for the plant's P&L and EBIT results.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of salaried and hourly employees, fostering a positive and productive employee relations environment.
Ensure the facility operates in strict compliance with all regulatory guidelines, including Health & Safety, CFIA, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including corporate partners and industry associations, to ensure alignment and achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field.
5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or similar role.
Demonstrated success leading Continuous Improvement initiatives using methodologies like Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is required.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing a P&L or significant operational budget.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Proven decision-making ability and strong analytical skills.
