Responsibilities
- Supervise operational workflows, schedule daily shifts, and complete administrative reporting to drive plant output.
- Direct workforce performance respectfully while upholding guidelines established within the collective agreement.
- Oversee the processing of cut to length coils of steel into sheets while maintaining precise customer specs.
- Execute a weekly rotating schedule across day, afternoon, and night shifts as determined by leadership.
- Ensure workplace safety standards, facility cleanliness, and equipment uptime protocols are strictly maintained.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated track record of leading, directing, and guiding teams within a unionized industrial environment.
- Proven leadership background as a Plant Supervisor, operational leader, or production supervisor in manufacturing.
- Strong computer proficiency, including practical command of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with an assertive, fair, and collaborative conflict-resolution style.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage competing operational priorities with high accuracy.
- Employment is conditional upon successfully passing a medical assessment including drug testing.
