Key Responsibilities
Database Expansion & Selection: Prototype, evaluate, and implement new database technologies across platforms including SQL Server, AWS Aurora, MySQL, DB/2, and Oracle.
Architecture & Optimization: Participate in the design, development, and data model optimization of database solutions, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
Replication & Cross-Database Solutions: Implement and manage cross-database integration platforms using technologies like Oracle GoldenGate and equivalent data replication frameworks.
System Scripting & Operations: Leverage Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and core networking concepts to automate database operations and maintain environment stability.
Continuous Improvement & Documentation: Recommend platform optimizations and produce high-quality, clear technical documentation delivered on schedule.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with wider development and infrastructure project teams to troubleshoot challenges and deliver project objectives.

Technical Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Database & Query Skills: Extensive background in database-centric software development with advanced SQL capabilities.
Data Modeling & Optimization: Proven expertise in Oracle data model optimization plus hands-on experience with at least one additional major database engine.
Data Replication: Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate and similar real-time data replication tools.
OS & Networking: Strong background in Linux/Unix operating systems, shell scripting, and network architecture concepts.
Multi-Database Exposure: Practical knowledge of cross-database solutions and engine migrations.
