Responsibilities
As a Press Brake Operator in the manufacturing and logistics team, your duties will include:
• Operating controls, setting machine functions, and performing the necessary deburring and inspection of parts to ensure conformance to quality standards. • Setting up the press brake machine precisely by thoroughly reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches provided for custom metal fabrication. • Calculating blank sizes, determining bend locations, and establishing the appropriate tonnage and tooling required for each part being formed. • Working from manuals and specification of sample parts to program and execute accurate bending and forming operations. • Overseeing and supporting the operations of the Turret machine and Deburring machine to maintain line productivity and flow in the manufacturing process. • Detecting equipment malfunctions and material deficiencies, communicating issues promptly to management to minimize downtime. • Organizing and maintaining the cleanliness and order of the work area throughout the workday, adhering to a high standard of workplace safety. • Assisting team members with material handling, including safely lifting materials up to 50 pounds (using assistance for heavier materials).
Qualifications
To be considered for the Press Brake Operator position, candidates must meet these requirements:
• Proven experience of 1+ years working with a press brake machine (experience with an AMADA machine is highly desirable). • Demonstrated ability and willingness to read blueprints to accurately set up and operate machinery. • Physical capability to safely lift up to 50 pounds as needed for handling metal materials. • Knowledge of industrial machines is a significant asset (e.g., CNC, Turret Press, and Deburring machines). • Must be willing to work the scheduled shift: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. • Comfortable working in a hot environment as part of the manufacturing and logistics process. • Ownership of and ability to wear safety shoes as part of the required personal protective equipment (PPE). • A strong desire to learn, grow, and take initiative within the manufacturing team.
