Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Safely set up, load, operate, and unload compression presses in strict accordance with daily production schedules and job routers.
- Quality Assurance: Perform precise ISO 9001 quality audits, weight verifications, and first-off visual inspections to guarantee product integrity.
- Component Finishing: Use hand tools (such as trimming knives and picks) to precision-trim finished parts, properly label compliant items, and isolate any non-conforming materials.
- Material Preparation: Stage, weigh, and audit raw material inventory prior to initiating production runs.
- Operational Reporting & Safety: Accurately log daily output metrics, maintain an orderly workstation, and adhere strictly to all workplace safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing Background: Proven experience working in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience using hand tools and troubleshooting machinery.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform heavy lifting and work comfortably in a hot manufacturing climate.
- Flexible Availability: Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating continental schedule (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, including alternating weekends).
- Transportation: Access to a reliable personal vehicle (the facility is not transit-accessible).
