WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
As a Process Lead within the Cascades Tissue Group, you will play a key role in driving process reliability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence on the production floor. This role offers a progressive development path and hands‑on experience with Lean methodology, equipment optimization, and problem-solving tools.
This opportunity is perfect for individuals who hold an engineering degree and want a strong launchpad into manufacturing leadership. We will also consider candidates who have strong lean manufacturing experience and would like to develop further into process improvement and reliability roles.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will support the performance and reliability of our processes by:
Process & Reliability Leadership
- Define and refine standard processes to ensure consistent execution
- Support equipment reliability, breakdown elimination, and root‑cause analysis (6W2H)
- Partner closely with Lift Drivers and Operators to solve daily production issues
- Prioritize and coordinate planned maintenance activities with Maintenance
Continuous Improvement & Lean
- Advance Lean methodologies on the floor (Kaizen, 5S, visual controls, waste elimination, standard work)
- Support CI and Reliability Pillars as part of our broader operational excellence journey
- Drive improvements that reduce downtime and enhance productivity
Technical Documentation & Development
- Maintain SOPs and standard work documentation
- Support product qualification and development activities
- Participate in small and large-scale improvement projects, including equipment and layout modifications
WHAT YOU BRING
Engineering Graduate
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Interest in Lean, equipment reliability, and manufacturing leadership
Experience as a Lean Manufacturing Professional will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Proven experience applying Lean principles in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Lean tools, terminology, and concepts (5S, Kaizen, PDCA, Muda elimination, etc.)
- Ability to coach teams and influence others toward best practices
