Sourcing & Bidding: Create Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and organize competitive bidding processes to secure optimal pricing and quality.
Order Management: Issue purchase orders in response to material requirements from manufacturing and engineering departments.
Strategy Execution: Implement Category Management strategies and establish local agreements for goods/services not covered by corporate contracts.
Supplier Relations: Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure reliability and compliance with service level agreements.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and other internal departments to align procurement with operational timelines.
Financial Oversight: Monitor price variances and contribute to cost-containment initiatives to improve overall plant profitability.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: Completion of an undergraduate degree in a Technical, Business, or related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement or production environment.
Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Supplier Sourcing and evaluating qualified vendors.
Strong understanding of Purchase Order (PO) systems and the Purchase-to-Pay process.
Analytical skills to monitor price variance and operational data.
Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities, strong communication, and critical thinking.
Certifications: Advanced procurement certification (e.g., CPM) is highly preferred.
