Responsibilities
Trend Analysis and Forecasting: Analyze fashion runways, social media, and other trend vehicles to forecast seasonal trends and translate them into a full accessories collection.
Design and Development: Facilitate the transition of styles from design conception to a production-ready sample. This includes creating detailed specification packages, print-ready artwork, and communicating regularly with overseas factories.
Product Sourcing: Utilize extensive knowledge of product sourcing and development to manage the process from raw materials to the finished product.
Financial Management: Maintain and manage costing files, with an understanding of the relationship between price and product development.
Collaboration: Work closely with the China team to ensure all sourcing is within timeline and collaborate with a team to identify areas for process improvement.
Qualifications
A minimum of 4+ years of experience in product design and accessory construction.
Post-secondary education in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Exceptional skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop are a must.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience in the Fashion Accessories or Home Goods industry is a strong asset.
Outstanding communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to multi-task and work effectively under tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
