Responsibilities
• Coordinate production schedules, procurement requests, engineering specifications, and shipping logistics to optimize plant efficiency.
• Assign manufacturing labor based on shifting priorities, raw material availability, and overall plant capacity.
• Monitor daily production progress closely to proactively identify, track, and resolve operational bottlenecks or risks.
• Perform regular floor checks to uphold strict quality control and workplace safety standards within the manufacturing & logistics facility.
• Ensure all raw materials, hand tools, custom fixtures, and machinery setups are fully prepared before scheduled work begins.
• Maintain accurate and meaningful visual management tools, including shop floor whiteboards, production metrics, and KPI dashboards.
• Lead daily production meetings to review operational readiness, workflow distribution, safety guidelines, and schedule compliance.
• Identify and implement ongoing opportunities to improve workflow sequences, equipment setup times, and general manufacturing efficiency.
• Additional duties as required
Qualifications
• Minimum of one year of direct experience coordinating production schedules, material allocation, labor distribution, or manufacturing setups.
• Prior experience working with or exposure to ERP/MRP software systems, with familiarity in Sage systems considered a strong asset.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds independently or with assistance when verifying materials or tools.
• Strong organizational skills and a proactive mindset to handle multiple moving parts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate prompt and effective teamwork across various departments.
• Practical problem-solving capabilities to resolve immediate schedule conflicts and production delays on the floor.
• High level of comfort working with digital dashboards, production metrics, and visual tracking systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, from office administrators to frontline manufacturing personnel.
• Adaptability and an open mind toward continuous learning and mastering new industrial management workflows.
